C'est Magnifique Kit Reveal #3!

**If you're here for my Housewarming GIVEAWAYS, please go--->HERE!! There are only 3 days left!!**

Good morning everyone :)!

As promised, I'm back today to share with you my last two projects using the beautiful July kit from C'est Magnifique!

"Sibs"
It is truly a rare thing for me to get a picture of my rowdiest child, Gunner, with his little sister. But when out visiting my mom a little while back, he decided to sit down with her in the grass. I managed to get only two shots before he got back up to go running about again, and if I hadn't had my camera on and ready, I would have missed this moment :).
The July kit is nothing short of beautiful. It's perfect for delicate moments like this one; the beautiful reds and pinks, supported by rich green shades and just a hint of blue. Everything seems to just fall into place in harmony. And I love that even though I stuck to a fairly clean design, the rich patterns of the papers give my layout that more "full" look which I normally prefer.

I've used everything in the main kit on this one, except for a few things from my stash:
Texture Paste
Gesso
Twine
Prima Chalk Fluid Edger Pad "Old Rose"
Crafter's Workshop 6x6 Template
Doily

"You Make Me So Very Happy" Card
From the Embellishment Add-On:
My Mind's Eye: Be Happy Chipboard Elements
Pink Paislee: London Market: Collage Sheets

From My Stash:
texture paste

If you'd like to get ahold of this kit before it's gone, there are a few left in the store here! But you'll need to act fast as they will not last long! :)

Thanks to you all for taking the time out of your day to visit me...I truly do appreciate it...

See you soon~

C'est Magnifique Full Kit Reveal!!

Good morning :). I hope you're all well! I know I am- I get to show you the full July kit reveal for C'est Magnifique! As previously mentioned, I love this kit- it's stunning. And I can guarantee you they won't last long- so if you'd like to purchase a kit for yourself, visit the July section of the store here. Of course, if you'd like to make sure you receive one of C'est Magnifique's one-of-a-kind kits every month- check out the join page here.

But before I share with you the full reveal, let's take a look at a couple more of my projects I created with this kit. I will show you a couple of them today and the rest tomorrow so as not to overwhelm!!

"Young Guns"
Having two boys, I make a lot of "boy" layouts. So even with a kit as feminine as this one, I can usually manage to find a way to create a masculine layout. This one is for my middle child, Gunner. My husband likes to call him "Guns", which is just one of many nicknames we have for him. I started playing with the blues and greens, then threw in some brown and hints of orange. I love how the colors complemented my sepia photos (which I never use!), and created an almost tropical look...

From the Flower Add-On:
Maya Road: Small Roses Ribbon: Turquoise
Petaloo: Daisies: Blue & Green

From the Embellishment Add-On:
My Mind's Eye: Be Happy Chipboard Elements
Prima: En Francais Alphabet Stickers
Pink Paislee: London Market: Collage Sheets
Prima: Nature's Garden Crystal Border

From My Stash:
The Crafter's Workshop 6x6 "Bricks" Template
Texture Paste
Gesso

"Lil' Spring Chicken"
This is a photo of my little girl, playing in the grass at my mom's house. When picking out the papers to assemble this layout, I was trying to figure out what I was going to use to "anchor" my photo- when I saw and realized that the Pink Paislee "Collage Sheets" packaging was a perfect, coordinating fit! I just love little lightbulb moments like that! Add some stitching and a bit of trim tied at the top, and you have a beautiful, upcycled embellishment :).

From the Flower Add-On:
Prima: Millicent Vine: Doodle Deux
Prima: Tasha: Frost
Prima: Lady Godiva: Strawberry Ice
Petaloo: Daisies: Blue & Green

From the Embellishment Add-On:
My Mind's Eye: Be Happy Chipboard Elements
Prima: En Francais Alphabet Stickers
Prima: Fairy Belle Stamps
Pink Paislee: London Market: Collage Sheets (Packaging only)

From My Stash:
Martha Stewart Border Punches: Eyelet Lace & Garden Rail
doilies
texture paste
gesso

"Always Be True to Yourself" Tag
From the Flower Add-On:
Prima: Millicent Vine: Doodle Deux
Prima: Tasha: Frost

From the Embellishment Add-On:
My Mind's Eye: Be Happy Chipboard Elements
Pink Paislee: London Market: Collage Sheets

From My Stash:
Martha Stewart "Garden Rail" border punch
cheesecloth
doily

***And here is the full kit reveal :)...
***Along with these beautiful papers from Inkido (Sweden) & Teresa Collins...
***Flower Add-On w/flowers from Prima Marketing, Manor House Creations, & Petaloo...

You can see why I love this kit so much!! It's gorgeous :).

Thanks for coming over today~ will be back tomorrow with one more layout and a card to complete my projects for July.

Take care~

June Prima Build-A-Page

**If you're here for my Housewarming GIVEAWAYS, please go---> HERE!**

Hey everyone, hope you're all having a good weekend :). I had the chance to get some scrapping done yesterday and so I wanted to quick pop on here and share with you my layout for the June Prima Build-A-Page. To be honest, I'm still not sure what to think of this one...it's just a bit dark for me and the colors are kinda different- but here we are anyways!

"Handsome"
I must say, my Gunner IS quite handsome- perhaps that's my problem with the page? No layout can compete with his striking good looks, lol!! ;)...

Here's the sketch for this month, designed by the talented Heidi Kelley:

And a closer look...
The "Handsome" title is from Scrap FX- seriously, they have just about any title you can think of! LOVE them!!

I pulled in just some hints of green from the background of my photo by using just a few green-tinted flowers and this beautiful trim from Prima (which I actually won in a RAK from Heidi Kelley herself!!)...

All of the papers on this layout are from the Prima "Almanac" collection, which I adore, including these bits of rolled papers, which were distressed with a scissor edge.

This is my favorite part of this layout. I used my brick mask and a combination of texture paste and brown crackle paint. While it was still wet, I threw on a handful of seed beads and very lightly pressed them in before drying with my heat gun.

So glad you stopped in! I noticed that I'm VERY near 250 followers, which means Giveaway #5 will soon be revealed!! See keep an eye out!!

See you soon...

Prima Nature Garden Tag...

**If you're here for my Housewarming GIVEAWAYS, please go--->HERE!**

Good morning- just wanted to pop in quick and share with you a tag I created when Prima was having a little competition for a guest spot in their art-zine "My Prima Place". Well, I'm not the lucky winner of that honor- so I can finally share it with you today :)...

I've used the beautiful "Nature Garden" collection for this one, along with other delicious Prima goodies...
I really enjoy putting pieces like this one together. I love having them on hand for a quick gift or "card" :).

Keeping it short and sweet today! Will be back tomorrow with a layout :)~

Scrap FX~ June Reveal #2

**If you're here for my Housewarming GIVEAWAYS, please go--->HERE!**

Hey! Hope you've all had a great start to your week :). I'm excited because tomorrow is my wedding anniversary...not that we have any plans~ 3 little kids tend to keep us at home! But I'm sure we'll find a way to make it special :). We don't generally exchange gifts, but I'm hoping to at least grill some steaks and have a nice supper...maybe a glass of champagne (or two!)...

But that's tomorrow. Today I'm here to share with you my last two Scrap FX projects for the month! The theme is "Birthdays" and what luck- my beautiful niece Lilah just turned two this past Friday. Of course I attended her party and my sister Kelly even asked me to play photographer for her, so I got my pick of photos with which to work!

"Happy Birthday"

Scrap FX Chipboard used on this layout:

~ I've used my Martha Stewart Texture Effect (new fave of mine!) to create the "stucco" texture on my title and the flourish below it. I then used some light pink ink to dab over the top to blend it with the rest of my layout.

~The bird house and "Adore" frame were just covered with gesso. The bird house I also dabbed with my "shabby tote" ink and then blended again with more gesso to give it an aged look.

Additional Supplies Used:
~Prima Marketing "Fairy Belle" papers
~Prima Marketing & KaiserCraft flowers
~Prima Marketing butterfly
~Martha Stewart butterfly stamp
~Martha Stewart "Double Dot" border punch
~Fiskars Embossing Border Punc "All-A Fleur"
~Zva Creative bling flourish
 ~doily, lace trim

"2nd Birthday" Card

Scrap FX Chipboard used on this card:

~I've again used the texture effect on both pieces here. I love the uneven, rough texture it produces, and just a hint of pink ink is all it needs to blend nicely with the rest of the elements!

 Additional Supplies Used:
~Webster's Pages "Girl Land" papers
~Prima Marketing, Petaloo, & Wild Orchid flowers
~Webster's Pages "Winter Fairy Tales" trim
~KaiserCraft bling
~Fiskars Circle Border Punch "Dancing Daisies"
~doily, ribbon

Thank-you so much for taking a look at my projects today! If you're interested in getting ahold of some Scrap FX products, you can always drop a request at your local scrapbook store :)! Or you can find them online- I've now added the links of the stores online who carry their chipboard- you can find these links in the "Scrap FX Design Team" tab at the top of my blog.

Have a beautiful day and I'll be back again soon!

"Girl"
As I've mentioned, I've been on a bit of a Webster's Pages kick lately, and I've yet again used the beautiful and feminine "Girl Land" collection for this one :). I am just in LOVE with the colors found in these papers...just so fitting for my sweet baby girl Aspen...

Here is Sketch #213 from Creative Scrappers:

And some details for you as well:

Here's yet another gorgeous Scrap FX wordlet title. I LOVE the ultra-fine script here- so elegant. And who couldn't help but fussy cut out this shoe and dress it up a bit?? I added the Webster's Pages bling strips along the sole for a little sparkly touch :).

Yep, I told you my new obsession was pretty bows. I have no idea where this ribbon came from but it was sitting in my stash, just waiting for the perfect place...I think I found it ;). And gotta love the Webster's bloomer trims- this green one fit in and matched just beautifully.

This pretty lamp shade is also from Scrap FX. I dabbed on some texture effect with a paint brush before topping off this piece with some more "pretties" from the bling strip.

Supplies Used:
~Webster's Pages "Girl Land" collection papers
~Scrap FX chipboard title & lamp shade
~Prima Marketing, Manor House Creations, Petaloo, & KaiserCraft flowers

ScrapFIT Reveal: Workout #70!!

** If you're here for my Housewarming GIVEAWAYS, please go--->HERE!**

Good morning and happy Friday! I'm super excited because early this afternoon I get to head down to my sister Kelly's house for my niece Lilah's 2nd Birthday!! But first I need to take care of a few orders of business :). First of all, I'm writing this post Thursday night and as of right now, I'm quite close to reaching 200 followers, which means ANOTHER giveaway!! So if I happen to wake up in the morning and have reached that mark, I will be updating this post to let you all know to check out Giveaway #4 :D!! If not, I'll be keeping an eye out for that number to be reached and post as soon as I can. This has been a busy and amazing week- so positive- so fun- I'm reminded of why I so much enjoy the online scrappy world. So thank-you all for that!

Secondly, I'm here to share with you Workout #70 for ScrapFITDevelop Your Own Polaroid! Do you remember when Polaroid photos were the hot new way to take photos?  Well this workout is a tribute to the Polaroid!  We want to see a layout with a Polaroid photo. Dont have a Polaroid photo, don't worry- you can create a fake Polaroid- ScrapFIT has some fab examples for you to check out if you're wondering how!

Here is what I came up with:

"Seize the Day"
I actually created a Polaroid photo using my photo editing software, but then I remembered that Scrap FX just came out with these really cute chipboard Polaroid frames, and decided to layer that over my photo. In between the layers on my layout I added some Manor House Creations and Prima packaging, along with some book pages (another of my obsessions!). I also used some of the same packaging behind my photo. I love re-purposing, and how could you not with such pretty packaging?

Here's a closer look at my layout...
I've used the 6x6 brick template from The Crafter's Workshop, along with some Martha Stewart Texture Effect. After drying with my heat gun, I dabbed on the sandy-colored ink.

I've used a combination of Prima flowers, leaves, doilies, and chipboard in my cluster.

I LOVE this Prima butterfly- I really love that the wings are flexible so I was able to bend them however I wanted them :).

This fab title is from Scrap FX, simply dabbed with a bit of gesso.

Supplies Used:
~Prima Marketing "Sun Kiss" papers
~Prima Marketing flowers
~Prima Marketing Aglow "Mica" leaves
~Prima Marketing butterfly
~Prima Marketing "Nature Garden" chipboard
~Scrap FX Polaroid frame & wordlet title
~The Crafter's Workshop "Bricks" 6x6 template
~Martha Stewart Texture Effect
~Prima Chalk Fluid Edger Pad "Shabby Tote"
~Prima Marketing & Manor House Creations packaging
~doilies, book pages, ribbon, gesso

The winner of this workout will receive a $25 gift certificate from My Favorite Things:

So how about you have a go at it? Can't wait to stop by and see what you come up with!!

I hope you have a great Friday and a great weekend! I'll be back here on Sunday to share with you another DT project. But I'll still be checking in, reading your sweet comments and responding when I can.

Take care of you :)...

My new blog debuts its first layout!!

**If you're here for my Housewarming GIVEAWAYS, please go--->HERE!!**

Good morning!! It sure has been a busy last few days here with my little housewarming party! Wow- the response has been so positive and supportive- I'm so very blessed to have so many amazing friends out there- thank-you SO MUCH to all of you who took the time to follow my new blog and leave me some kind words! I just want to say WELCOME to you all- old and new- and I'm so happy to be here :).

I'd like to share with you today my blog's "premiere" layout!! Obviously, this is not my first layout, lol...but it is strange to see a blog with no work- well, unless you peek in my online galleries. So I got to work last night after the kids were in bed and put this piece together. I'm on a Webster's Pages kick again, and this time it's the beautiful "In Love" collection, which is obviously geared toward weddings. And though I love to do wedding pages, I also like to find "other" ways to use collections like this one. So here is what I came up with...

"Sweet Cakes"
My little Gunner really is my little sweet cakes, lol. He's so adorable- I could just eat him up!! :D I love this photo of him- if he's not acting silly and showing off his cheesy smile, he's typically got this type of a serious expression on his face. But whether he's being serious or silly, I love him all the same :).

I was inspired by two different challenges for this one. The first was the June sketch over at Handmade by Suzanne, created by my sweet friend Nadia Cannizzo...

And then I was encouraged to add the hand-stitched detail running diagonally through my page by the Fabulous Friday "Stitching" challenge over at Frosted Designs!

Here are some details for you...
Lace bows are my latest obsession...you can probably expect to see a lot of them coming up, lol...

I love the flourishes from Scrap FX. This one worked out perfectly to ground my title.

I used a 6x6 chicken wire template from The Crafter's Workshop to create this messy texture. I simply took my tub of Martha Stewart Texture Effect and a butter knife to spread it on over the mask. After drying, I dabbed some different color inks over it.

I fussy cut this beautiful cake from one of the "In Love" papers, dressed it up with some liquid pearls and then used it as the focal point and main component of my large cluster.

Supplies Used:
~Webster's Pages "In Love" papers
~Prima Marketing, Manor House Creations, Wild Orchid, & KaiserCraft flowers
~The Crafter's Workshop 6x6 chicken wire template
~Scrap FX chipboard flourish
~Webster's Pages "In Love" letter stickers ("sweet")
~American Crafts Thickers foam alphas ("cakes")
~Martha Steward Texture Effect
~Martha Stewart "Optic Dot" border punch
~Fiskars "Dancing Daisy" circle border punch
~Prima Chalk Fluid Edger Pads: Old Rose, Tin Can, Coltsfoot Stemens
~Ranger Liquid Pearls
~pearls sprays, lace, book pages, gesso

Thank-you all for stopping in and taking a peek. Remember, my giveaway runs through midnight on June 30th, so there's still plenty of time to share the love and spread the word! Another giveaway will be revealed at 200 followers :D!

Have a good one!
