An Exciting Opportunity!!

I'm so happy to share the little secret I've been holding on to for a while now.

My sister Kelly Foster and I were offered the opportunity to design a limited edition mixed media kit for C'est Magnifique, called the "Magnifique Mixed Media" kit. We had a lot of fun collaborating and putting this kit together, and much to our surprise- it sold out in a matter of hours!!

"Autumnal Bliss"

With any new venture, there's always a bit of uncertainty. Will people like it? Will people want it?
Will we make fools of ourselves?? LOL.

Apparently, it was well received~ thank-you to everyone for your support!

We're happy to announce that YES, we WILL be having a December kit! What makes it unique is that it can coordinate with the regular kit for that month from C'est Magnifique, or as its own, stand alone kit. And you don't have to be a subscriber to C'est Magnifique- anyone can purchase one. But if you missed out this time, you might want to consider subscribing so that you don't miss out on the next.

Kelly and I will both be creating projects for your inspiration.

Here's a peek at one of my projects using the sold out "Autumnal Bliss" kit:

Check back on Monday, November 4th for the full reveal :)

Have a wonderful day!

A Multi-Purpose Card for Webster's Pages

Good morning :)

I have a card for you today that I created for Webster's Pages, and it's something a little bit different than the usual. Let me explain along the way...

"Welcoming Hugs" Card
I've of course used the beautiful Postcards from Paris II collection here, and the embellishments allow for so many amazing options. The file folders are what inspired the idea for this card.

I started with a standard card base, but then glued one of the file folders on top.

That way, you can first open up the file folder on the front of the card to an enclosed envelope for holding money or a message.

The card itself opens up to a "5 Highlights from Today" card that can be personalized- after a social event or party? I liked the idea of giving a special friend a card with a sweet message enclosed, and then at the end of that day, the recipient could log his/her favorite memories from the activities of the day. Just something different :)

Patterned Paper:

Embellishments:
Postcards from Paris II Charm Pack

Thank-you for visiting today!

Three Projects for Blue Fern Studios!

Good morning! I'm here with you today with three "scrappy" projects created for Blue Fern Studios. And I mean scrappy...literally. Each of my projects were made of scraps of some sort- and who doesn't like cleaning up their desk a little while creating at the same time?!

First up, a mini album:

"The Best"
Every paper in this album (including the pages) are scraps. I guess you could call this a "scrap album" for sure! ;)

I even used chipboard "scraps" throughout this album- bits and pieces and leftovers of sorts...
 ...punched out bits from panels...

Products Used:

(L-R: Marrakesh Panel, All Natural Set, Village Sign Post, Tuscan Window, Vintage Locks, Heart Set, Leafy Page Accents, Best Day Ever, Small Garden Daisies)

Next, I have a layout:

"Six"
My oldest recently turned six and I took this sweet photo of him on his birthday :)
Another project inspired by scraps, I again added in some chipboard scraps as well...

One of the Tuscan Window shutters was cut in half and used to add texture to the left and right of my photo.

The gears looked great when I applied some molten metal embossing powder!

Products Used:

Tuscan Window

Widgetworks

Lastly, I have a tag to share:

"I Adore You"
Chipboard adds that "something extra" to my tags- and I love them for it! More scraps, some of the leftovers from my mini album :)

I again used some fabulous molten metal embossing powder to bring this Doodle Corner to life!

...and some gold embossing powder to create this effect on the Vintage Keys piece :)

Products Used:

Doodle Corners

Vintage Keys

Whew! Are you still with me?!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Be sure to check out this month's Sketch Challenge- there's still some time left to enter!

Prima Marketing: Scraplift!

Good morning and welcome!

Today some of the Prima team members are scraplifting a Prima veteran: Felicity Wilson!
Felicity has a fun, textured, layered style and it was a pleasure to lift one of her fabulous layouts :)~ and I certainly hope I did her justice ;)

"Handsome Boy"
Some days, you take out the camera and got nothing. And then others- you get something great. I captured this great photo of Wyatt playing with his football recently- and couldn't wait to scrap it. Such a handsome boy- turning into a little man right before my eyes!

Here is the layout by Felicity which inspired my project:

I attempted to adhere to her overall design and made a few changes to make it "my own". The large pennant was turned vertically to better support my portrait photo, I applied some gesso and masking to my background and kept the banners and title placement.

I added lots of amazing Prima embellishments, both old and new.

Of course I couldn't help but apply plenty of the new Allstar Collection for this sporty photo of my little guy! I love the neutrals in this range- so versatile! And accented by the yellows of the Ladybird collection made it fresh and young :)

Webster's Pages: Postcards from Paris II {Wedding Inspired!}

Good morning and welcome to a brand new week!

I'm here with you today to share a little altered box that I created for Webster's Pages using their popular Postcards from Paris II collection. It's a beautiful, romantic range and what event is more inspired by love than a wedding?! So today on the Webster's Pages blog, it's all about weddings :) Here's a look at what I created:

"Love" Altered Box
The inspiration for this gift box came from the "Let Them Eat Cake" paper- simply perfect for a wedding :)
I started with the bottom half of the box and worked from there. The cake-topper birds would be my main feature and the rest of the supporting embellishments came along as I worked at it.

I just LOVE working with these vibrant colors and exquisite patterns!

I wanted to create something very dimensional and layered at the same time, accomplished by fussy cutting, foam adhesive, and paper L-shaped "stands" to help support the upright images. I also used a Blue Fern Studios chipboard piece as my backdrop and supporting element.

Products Used:

Papers:
Postcards from Paris II "Let Them Eat Cake"
Postcards from Paris II "Tres Belle"

Embellishments:
Postcards from Paris II: Green Fleur (resin)
Postcards from Paris II: Collection Pack (file folders)

Trims:
Postcards from Paris II: Mini Trim Pack

Other Products Used:

Doodle Circle Frame

I'm so glad you came over today! It will be a busy week on my blog- I will be back over the next couple of days with brand NEW projects like this one- thanks for your endless support and I will see you tomorrow! :)
